Dear Stingray Families,

On Wednesday July 15, during regular practice time, the LCC Swim Team will participate in our annual Swim for Education event to benefit the In Gee Chun LCC Educational Foundation.The mission of the In Gee Chun LCC Educational Foundation is to make a lasting impact in the Lancaster community by providing scholarships for students seeking to achieve their educational and vocational goals. We are proud to partner once again with the Foundation, with the specific intent of supporting LCC caddies, LCC employees, and their dependents as they pursue further educational opportunities.

Participating is simple and all are welcome. Here is how it works:

1. Swimmers commit to a certain number of laps (pick an achievable goal!) during the allotted one hour time frame & share their plan with supporters.

2. Families can share the Swim for Education Go fund me page for the event far & wide to obtain donations. All monies raised go directly to the Foundation.

3. Please plan to check in at the prize table upon arrival on the event date. Swimmers will sign in, record their committed laps and enter their name to win a raffle prize.

4. Just like a normal practice day, Stingrays ages 11-18 will swim from 9:00am-10:00am and Stingrays aged 10 and under will swim from 10:00am-11:00am.

5. Here comes the fun part: Once a swimmer completes their mission, he or she can ring the cowbell located at the prize table! A member of the Stingray Coach Crew will jump in the pool each time the bell rings - swimmers’ choice! All swimmers will receive a custom ribbon for their swim bag and cupcake, as well.

6. All stingrays will be eligible to win one of two raffle prizes. Additional prizes will be awarded for the top fundraiser and the swimmer who completes the greatest number of laps. Winners will be announced following the completion of the event at 11:00am.
