Dear Stingray Families,

In the midst of one of the coldest winters in years, it feels crazy to talk about summer swim team, but maybe this is my attempt to manifest warmer weather with some summer swim vibes.

We are thrilled to have Coach Brooke and all of our amazing assistant coaches back to continue the fun and hard work this summer. Last summer we were so fortunate to welcome many new swimmers and we hope our team continues to grow this year. With the growth of our team we do anticipate a few changes this year.

1. We are looking to hire another assistant coach to help round out Coach Brooke’s staff; with so many 8 and under swimmers, another set of hands will be incredibly helpful.
2. We will be working with a new vendor for our team suits and team gear. Conejo Swimworks is new to our area but not new to swim gear. The owner, Yvette Grimaldi, has many years of experience catering exclusively to swim teams. She will be on hand at our Meet and Greet (date tbd) to assist with suit fittings and answer all your questions.
3. Lastly, Liz and I are looking for parents interested in creating a Swim Team committee in order to share the responsibilities of the team that we have maintained as Co-Chairs for the last several years. Have no fear, Liz and I plan to run things this year, but we would like to provide an opportunity to ease others into the many different roles in order to create a seamless transition for the future. As the old adage goes, many hands create light work. Depending upon the level of interest, this could be an opportunity for many parents to become involved instead of a Sole or Co-Chairmanship. For those interested in the Swim Team Committee, please attend the Meet and Greet (date tbd) as we will have more information to share at that time.

May 18-21, May 26-28, June 1-4

3:30-4:30 11 & over

4:30-5:15 10 & under

Summer Morning Practices

From June 8th - July 17th(Monday-Thursday)

9:00 - 10:00am 11 & over

10:00 - 11:00am 10 & under

Lil Stingers practice: Group 1 - 10:00-10:30, Group 2 - 10:30-11:00.

(Coach Brooke will communicate with families if your child will be a part of the Lil Stingers program.)
